CHEVY 3500 EXPRESS VAN
The Chevy 3500 Express van is used for transporting a large group of our Scouts
with room for 15 passengers. It's 6.0-liter V8 is rated at 323 hp and 373 lb-ft of torque, which is standard on 3500s. It uses a heavy duty four-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. It has a one ton chassis. The maximum trailer-towing capacity can pull up to 7,600 pounds.
It has four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control and side curtain airbags (for the first three rows of seating). In frontal-impact crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Chevrolet Express scored five stars (the highest possible).
It is equipped with am/fm stereo, cd player, cruise control and front and rear controlled heating/ac units. It was donated by the Ryan family in 2012. It has transported our Scouts to adventure through 18 states thus far.

WELLS CARGO TRAILER
The Wells Cargo is used for transporting large group camping equipment. It has 84 square feet of space. It contains three shelves on the front, left, and right sides, 81 linear feet. It has a double axle. Dimensions are 7 ft wide and 12 ft long with a tall ceiling.
Built in 1980, we purchased it as a used trailer several years later at a very low cost. It's not a new or pretty trailer, but it can move a large amount of camping gear, though limited to fairly short distances.

HAULMARK TRAILER
The Haulmark is used to transport food service equipment to a variety of fundraising and cooking events. It is a 6 ft wides X 12 ft long trailer with 72 square feet of space. Built in 1988, we purchased it at a fair price several years later.
It has three shelves on the driver side and two shelves with space for storing tables on the passenger side. It provides a large amount of storage space for various items.
It is equipped with a side door and rear ramp making it ideal for moving and unloading heavy equipment such as large grills, griddle, and table fryer.

NIMROD BIKE TRAILER
The Nimrod was once a pop-up camper trailer which was donated to the troop. Later is was custom designed and built from the base up to be a bicycle trailer. It can transport nine (9) bicycles, with a maximum of thirteen (13) bikes using a bike rack which can be added to the back.
The top is hinged and can be lifted to access a storage area large enough for group and personal equipment supporting 12-15 people. It can also be used for supporting small group camping and transporting other supplies.
This trailer has traveled far and wide in support of a long distance bicycling program which stretched west to Couer d'Alene, Idaho, north to Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, south to New Orleans, Louisiana, and east to Portland, Maine. It has also been to many other places supporting other great adventures on numerous trips.

CHEVY LUV TRAILER
The Luv Trailer was converted from a Chevrolet Luv truck box. It has a tool box enclosure on the front. A bungied tarp provides weather proof transport.
It is a multi use trailer which can be used for supporting small group camping and transporting other supplies. It's also great for moving American flags, Klondike sleds, aluminum cans for recycling, bicycles, trash, etc., etc. It's like having a small truck you can pull behind you.

KHS BROWN CONCESSION TRAILER
The Brown Concession Trailer was designed and built from scratch by Kaneland high school (KHS) as a project for their woods and metals classes. It was fully wired with lights and outlets by our Scouts as a project for Electricity merit badge. We have a generator which makes it a fully functional concession trailer for any location.
A large side opening is hinged to be opened as an extended roof covering
for a sales area below. Another smaller opening in the front can be lifted to access a cooking platform area.

WINNEBAGO CARAVAN TRAILER
This vintage 1960 Winnebago Caravan travel trailer was donated to the troop over 20 years ago. It has been used as a concession stand for AYSO soccer games for several years. Sometimes we would use a tarp to add as a front canopy. We are retiring this trailer since the KHS brown concession trailer has taken its place.

Our newest trailer is a 2014 enclosed Cargo Mate trailer, 8ft wide and 16 ft long. Ramp door in the rear with a side door. It has a v-front for extra space. Interior height is 6'-6" ft.
It is a large trailer that is necessary for moving large equipment. Two commercial flat griddles, large party grill and large funnel cake fryer, plus smaller stoves, warmers, and assorted equipment on our shelves.
We use this trailer to transport and support food booths. It basically transports the components of a mobile portable restaurant.
