COMMUNITY SCOUTING

SCOUTING CONTRIBUTES

We deliver adventure – helping Scouts canoe, climb and camp – the list goes on. We aim for fun in a safe, supportive environment – but something else is happening too. They grow in confidence, develop leadership skills and start to take a bigger interest in community, both local and beyond.

Something relevant is the evidence of community impact. Scouts engage in voluntary service activities and the effect is long lasting. For many, what began in Scouting may become a life-long habit of giving something back to the community.

So the next time you see a Scout in the street – you're looking at a citizen of the future and one of tomorrow's leaders today.

TROOP 33's
RELIEF EFFORTS

In times of emergency and disaster, the idea of community goes beyond local. Answering the call to action involves us in something important. No one can solve the world’s problems, but every support extended during and after a time of crisis adds up to help and hope for those affected.

Remember, "to help other people at all times" is a part of the Scout Oath. It's a sense of true community that builds inside of all who participate.
